Caicun Village

Cai Village(才村) is located in the east of Dali Ancient Town in Dali City, Yunnan Province, on the west bank of Erhai Sea. It has a coastline of more than 3 kilometers. The Bai people here lived on fishing for generations. The village is adjacent to the Erhai Lake and has been transformed into the Erhai Wetland Park by the government. Relying on natural beauty and humanistic aura, the village has more than 120 kinds of inns and over 20 restaurants. It is the largest tourist scenic spot in terms of Bai village around the Erhai Lake, and it is also the natural original village that receives the most tourists.

How to get to Caicun Village?

1. Take the No.2 bus in the North Gate of Dali Ancient Town and take of at terminal station.
2. It takes you 30 minutes to drive from Eastern Gate of Dali Ancient Town to Caicun Village.

What to See

Currently, thousands of tourists come to Caicun. Caicun also offers the comprehensive service for tourists, cruising ship, taxi, unique restaurants and inns etc. Travelers can enjoy the leisure ecologic tour here.

Leisure Life of Caicun Village

If you have enough time in Caicun Village, you can enjoy the local life the whole day. It is a ideal choice for you to buy the fresh vegetables of local farmers and the fresh fish of Erhai Lake in nearby market personally. You can cook in Jane’s Sea Home, a private house, and share the favorable dishes with friends here. Enjoying the sunshine in local featured inns is also an approving way.

Surrounded by Erhai Lake, we can appreciate the sight that Erhai Lake melts into sky. There are also the idyllic views of west of Erhai. Cycling or running around Erhai, you will lose in the charming landscape around.

When the weather is fine in Dali, the sunshine is heated, and ultraviolet light is strong. People should avoid direct sunlight, and the sun hat preparation is required during outdoor activities, a pair of sunglasses will make you comfortable in the trip.
