Ciba Mosque (茨坝清真寺) is located at No. 10 Ciba Road (茨坝路), Panlong District (盘龙区), Kunming City (昆明市), Yunnan Province (云南省).

Historical Significance

Following the five main mosques in the urban area of Kunming (昆明市), Ciba Mosque is the only newly built mosque of considerable scale and with promising prospects in the past century—or even centuries. Its construction can be seen as a groundbreaking moment for those who have long failed to study the transformation of mosques in the "new era." It also embodies the guiding principles and traditions of Muslim faith and practice in this era, laying a solid foundation for the development of Islam.

Mosque Introduction

Ciba is a warm and welcoming town, and Ciba Mosque is like a shining pearl nestled in the most ideal location.
I once walked through its gates at dawn, as the faint sound of the call to prayer echoed in the mist, and left during a sunset filled with festive joy.
Nearby are attractions like the Botanical Garden (植物园), Maple Avenue (枫叶道), Heilongtan (黑龙潭), blooming plum blossoms (梅花飘), Yunnan Agricultural University campus (农大校园), Beijiao Park (北郊公园), along with the spirit of faith and life, fragrant tea, and the aroma of books.
I love the sky there, the clouds there, and even more so, the people there.
How I wish to return again, to feel that warmth, enthusiasm, simplicity, leisure, and a peaceful mind like flowing water.
