• Location: Daluo Town is a frontier town and an open port located at the southern tip of Xishuangbanna Dai Autonomous Prefecture, bordering Myanmar. It is approximately 133 kilometers from Jinghong City and 70 kilometers from Menghai County.
• Population: Although small, Daluo Town is home to several ethnic minorities, such as the Dai, Blang, and Hani, creating a vibrant ethnic atmosphere.

History of Daluo Town:

• The name "Daluo" in the Dai language means "a port of the public." Daluo Town has a long history as a border trading port and has been an important passageway since the Ming (1368-1644) and Qing (1644-1911) Dynasties. In the early 20th century, the renowned Pu’er tea was exported through Daluo. Today, Daluo serves as a scenic frontier spot at the end of the Kunming-Daluo Road and a gateway for foreign trade, where you can see the national gates of China and Myanmar.

Attraction Transportation:

• You can take a regular bus from Jinghong Bus Station to Daluo Town for CNY 32 per person, with a travel time of approximately 2 hours. From Daluo Town, you can take a mini bus to the One Tree Forest.

Best Time to Visit:

• Xishuangbanna has a tropical rainforest climate with a dry season from November to April and a rainy season from May to October. With an annual average temperature of around 21°C, it experiences long summers and no winter. The most pleasant travel period is from October to June of the following year, when the weather is cool and agreeable.
