? Overview – Dishuiyan Waterfall, Dulongjiang, Nujiang

Dishuiyan Waterfall, located in Dulongjiang Township, Gongshan County, Nujiang Lisu Autonomous Prefecture, Yunnan Province, is a natural wonder full of mystery and charm.
The local Dulong people call it “Habaiqing,” meaning “water falling from the moon.” On one side of the waterfall roars the mighty Dulong River, while on the other stands a towering cliff hundreds of meters high. A massive stream gushes from a hollow in the cliff, crashing onto rocks by the riverbank, spraying water mist tens of meters high and plunging into the river below — creating a spectacular sight.

Where is Dishuiyan Waterfall?

Dishuiyan Waterfall is about 50 km from Cikai Town, the county seat of Gongshan.

How to Get There

? By Car: From Gongshan town, drive along the Dulongjiang Road to Dulongjiang Township — about 50 km and a 1-hour journey.
? Public Transport: Take a bus from Gongshan to Dulongjiang Township, then transfer to a local motorbike or minivan to reach the waterfall.

Majestic Waterfall

Standing approximately 200 meters tall and 17–18 meters wide, Dishuiyan Waterfall boasts an impressive flow rate of 4–5 cubic meters per second, delivering a powerful, breathtaking spectacle.

Stunning Natural Surroundings

Surrounded by lush green mountains and vibrant grasslands, the area is abundant with wild fruits and alive with birdsong and butterflies. Playful groups of monkeys often entertain visitors here.

Rich Ethnic Culture

The Dulong people consider the waterfall sacred, using its water annually to wash their eyes — believed to have healing powers for eye ailments.
