Dongqing Mosque (东庆清真寺) is located in Longse Village (龙色村), Zhoucheng Township (州城乡), Binchuan County (宾川县), Yunnan Province (云南省). It was originally built in 1929 with funding from two local Muslim residents, Yang Maoting (杨茂亭) and Ma Laoshi (马老石).

Historical Background

Initial Construction

The mosque was established in 1929 through donations by local Muslims Yang Maoting (杨茂亭) and Ma Laoshi (马老石).

Renovation and Reconstruction

In 1990, the entire village community raised funds for a comprehensive renovation. The mosque now covers an area of 3.2 mu, with a building area of 267 square meters. The architectural style is traditional Chinese, constructed with brick and timber.

Structure and Layout

Key structures within the mosque include the main gate, prayer hall, study room, and ablution facilities. The mosque currently serves 32 Muslim households, totaling 148 people, and includes 4 imams (阿訇). It houses 4 copies of Arabic-scripture classics.
