    • Gejia Forest Park (戈贾森林公园) is located in the western part of Xicheng Town (锡城镇), Gejiu City (个旧市), Honghe Hani and Yi Autonomous Prefecture (红河哈尼族彝族自治州), Yunnan Province (云南省). Covering a total area of 25,000 mu, the park sits at an elevation of 2,020 meters and has a temperate climate with an average annual temperature of 15–16°C.

    The park is divided into four main scenic areas: Bamboo Forest (竹林景区), Pine Forest (松林景区), Grassland (草场景区), and Azalea Mountain (杜鹃山景区). It features fir forests, golden bamboo groves, fruit orchards including peaches and plums, and boasts high levels of negative oxygen ions, earning it the nickname “Natural Oxygen Bar.”

    Development and Facilities

    The park was initially developed in the 1990s. By 2003, facilities such as Yi-style residential tea houses and a stage square were built. In 2016, the park began constructing key infrastructure including the main entrance, a visitor center, and a grass skiing area. Currently, there are nine farm-stay establishments (农家乐) within the park, making it an ecological demonstration area that integrates agricultural tourism, leisure vacationing, and science education. The park also hosts cherry cultivation and seasonal events such as the Pear Blossom Valley Festival (梨花谷节) and Glutinous Corn Festival (糯苞谷节).

    In 2023, the park launched the construction of an under-forest hot spring project, planning to develop a hot spring resort area and a sports and leisure park.

    Location and Accessibility

    Gejia Forest Park (戈贾森林公园) is situated in Gejia Village (戈贾村) under Xicheng Town (锡城镇), west of Gejiu City (个旧市). It is a botanical paradise with diverse plant species, including vast golden bamboo groves, fiery red azaleas, towering fir and pine forests, and various fruit orchards. The park is organized into scenic zones according to plant distribution, making it a true “natural oxygen bar.”

    The park lies 4.1 km from Gejiu City (个旧市区). It borders Jiasha Township (贾沙乡) to the west, Xinchai Village (新寨村) to the south, and Jiejie Town (鸡街镇) to the north. A 6-meter-wide cement road connects the village committee, providing about a 20-minute drive or a 1-hour walk via smaller paths.
