Guoli Natural Village is located in Guoli Village Committee, Tuo'e Township, Lantsang Bai and Pumi Autonomous County, Nujiang Lisu Autonomous Prefecture, Yunnan Province.

Location and Administration

Location: Guoli Village is located in the western part of Lantsang Bai and Pumi Autonomous County, on the banks of the Lancang River. It is 5 kilometers away from Tuo'e Township government and 115 kilometers away from Lantsang County.
Administration: It is under the jurisdiction of Tuo'e Township, which is one of the townships in Lantsang County.

Geography and Environment

Terrain and Climate: The village is situated in the Hengduan Mountains, with a unique canyon terrain. The highest point is at an altitude of 3,880.6 meters, while the lowest point is at the Lancang River exit, with an altitude of 1,360 meters.
Natural Vegetation: The village is surrounded by lush vegetation and beautiful mountain scenery, providing a pristine natural environment.

Culture and History

Ethnic Composition: The village is home to multiple ethnic groups, including the Lisu, Bai, Nu, Yi, Han, Naxi, Hui, and Pumi people.
Historical Significance: Guoli Village has a rich history and cultural heritage. It was part of the "Lang Song Twelve Villages" during the Nanzhao and Dali Kingdom periods of the Tang and Song Dynasties. In 1953, it was designated as the sixth district of Guoli Township.
Honors: Guoli Village was listed as one of the Second Batch of Traditional Chinese Villages in August 2013 and was recognized as a Provincial Sanitation Village in Yunnan in March 2021.

Agriculture and Livestock: The village's economy is primarily based on agriculture and livestock farming, with crops such as wheat, rice, and soybeans, as well as livestock like pigs, cattle, and sheep.
Tourism: Guoli Village has been developing its tourism industry, attracting visitors with its unique ethnic culture, traditional architecture, and natural beauty.

Transportation

Road Network: Tuo'e Township has a well-developed road network, with national highways like the Lanping-Lijiang Road and the Yuepian Road passing through the area, making it easily accessible.
