Why is Huafo Mountain So Special

Huafo refers to “evolving into Buddha” in Chinese. Huafo Mountain is located in Mouding County in Chuxiong Yi Autonomous Prefecture. Huafo Mountain is one of the famous mountains for Buddhists congregation in Central Yunnan. The mountain stands there like a powerful lion, facing the east, striding forward with his chin up.

Standing on the Mountain, visitors can enjoy themselves in the forest of nature. Various shapes of bamboos and plants can be seen here and there. Winding paths lead you up the mountain and there are streams going down from the mountain top. Temples and pagodas are also seen from a distance.

Huafo Mountain is located in Mouding County, Chuxiong Yi Autonomous Prefecture, Yunnan Province. It is one of the famous mountains in Central Yunnan.

How to Get There

After arriving at Mouding County, visitors can get to Huafo Mountain by taxi.

Best Time to Go

It is the best time to go to Huafo Mountain in the period from May to August. Because in this period, you will see the best scenery when you come to Huafo Mountain with azaleas all around the mountain.
