About Pugao Laozhai Village in Yuanyang County

Mengpin Rice Terraces tourism area is located in the south of Yuanyang County Center, 20 kilometers away from Xinjie Town. The main attractions are Laohuzui Rice Terraces, Amengkong Rice Terraces, Baoshanzhai Rice Terraces, Mengnong Chieftain Palace and Mengpin Ancient Prose. It’s combined with the natural landscape and culture landscape, a nice place to study Yi culture, the local economy and customs.

It cover an area of 3000mu with various shapes fields. It gets more beautiful in the sun, the water in the fields twinkles just like stars. The lines of the fields are exquisite, which shapes the fields elegant and stereoscopic. it’s really a god-given visual feast. It’s said by photographers that it’s the most splendid natural landscape and reported by a France Newspaper in 1993.
