English Name: Mimalong Village of Lubiao Subdistrict in Anning City, Kunming
Mima Long Village is an administrative village under the jurisdiction of Lu Mie Street, Anning City, Kunming City, Yunnan Province. It is 27 kilometers away from the town government and 54 kilometers away from Anning City. The village has 7 villagers' groups, with 226 households and a rural population of 748 people. It is a multi-ethnic settlement, predominantly inhabited by the Miao ethnic group.

Nature and Geography

Mima Long Village covers an area of 10.63 square kilometers, with an altitude of 1,900 meters. The average annual temperature is 17.4°C, and the annual precipitation is 900 millimeters. The area is surrounded by mountains, with high forest coverage and beautiful scenery.

Economic Development

In recent years, Mima Long Village has vigorously developed a "flower economy," with marigold cultivation as a key specialty. In 2024, the marigold planting area reached over 300 mu (about 20 hectares), with an estimated fresh flower yield of 750,000 kilograms and an output value exceeding 800,000 yuan. Additionally, the village has constructed marigold fermentation pools, which are rented out to enterprises for preliminary processing, thereby increasing the added value of the industry.

Culture and Tourism

The Flower Mountain Cultural Tourism Festival in Mima Long Village is a major local event, attracting numerous visitors each year. The 2024 festival, themed "Unity Flowers on the Path to Revitalization, Scenic Miao Mountains by Tangchuan River," featured activities such as song and dance performances, bullfighting, and Lusheng playing competitions. Visitors could also enjoy Miao ethnic specialties like sour fish and glutinous rice cakes.

Infrastructure and Honors

From 2018 to 2020, the "Happy New Miao Homeland" project invested over 30 million yuan to comprehensively upgrade infrastructure in the village, including roads and streetlights. In September 2020, Mima Long Village was selected as one of Yunnan Province's first provincial forest villages.
With its unique natural scenery, rich ethnic culture, and thriving "flower economy," Mima Long Village is gradually becoming a popular destination for rural tourism.
