Geographic Location
Located at No. 52 Nandian Road, Zhedao Town, Lianghe County, Dehong Prefecture, Yunnan, Nandian Yutan is part of the county's central scenic belt. It is affectionately known by locals as “Longtang” or “Longtan Park” （龙塘 / 龙潭公园）.

Landscape Features
A walkway made of volcanic stone encircles the lake, complemented by graceful grey-bluestone curved railings, forming a shaded corridor ideal for relaxation and sightseeing.
The surroundings are densely planted with tall green willows, Guanyin bamboo, photinia, and violets, creating a vibrant palette of seasonal colors all year round.

Cultural Symbolism
In Wa ethnic legends, the pool is associated with the Dragon Maiden, and its name evokes a sense of mystical allure, implying “hidden dragons beneath the waters.”
A unique natural feature—dead trees growing alongside vibrant ones—is revered as a totem of loyal and enduring love.

Visitor Experience

Light & Shadow Aesthetics
In the early morning mist, the pool reflects the stilted Wa-style dwellings, resembling a living ink-wash painting.
During the rainy season (May to September), moisture hangs in the air, while mossy rock walls and emerald-green canopies blend into a lush natural tapestry.

Local Culture Integration
The lakeside trail is a favorite spot for local residents to exercise and unwind in the mornings, offering a glimpse into the rhythm of everyday life.
Just nearby is the Hongxing Farmers’ Market, where visitors can sample authentic local snacks like Majiā beef rice noodles (马家牛肉饵丝).
