Pengzhan Village (鹏展村) is under the jurisdiction of Hewai Village Committee (河外村委会) in Chahe Township (岔河乡), Eshan County (峨山县), Yuxi City (玉溪市), Yunnan Province (云南省). It is located in the southwest of Chahe Township, about 10 kilometers from the township government office. Chahe Township lies in the central part of Eshan County, bordered by Shuangjiang Town (双江镇) to the east, Huanian Town (化念镇) to the southwest, and neighboring Tadian (塔甸) and Fuliangpeng (富良棚) townships to the west.

History and Culture

Chahe Township has a long history. During the Qing Dynasty, it was part of the Qiongchuan (筇川头) and Luona (罗纳) administrative areas. After the founding of the Republic of China, the area was divided among several townships. In 1970, the Chahe Commune (岔河公社) was established and later changed to Chahe Township in 1983. Pengzhan Village, located in this township, is predominantly inhabited by the Yi ethnic group (彝族), known for its rich and vibrant cultural heritage.
