    Cultural and Heritage Experiences

    Miao Embroidery

Miao embroidery (苗族刺绣) is a treasured intangible cultural heritage of Fengqing County. It is famous for its reverse needlework technique, where intricate patterns are created by stitching the back of the fabric, showcasing the natural beauty of the Miao's environment. The embroidery is often referred to as “a history worn on the body” because the designs draw inspiration from the surrounding flora and fauna. Visitors can explore the Miao Cultural Heritage Center (苗文化传承馆), learn about the history of Miao embroidery, and experience the process of making these vibrant designs.

    Traditional Craft Demonstrations

The village is home to Miao Cultural Heritage Exhibition Rooms (苗文化传承展室) and a bilingual classroom (苗汉双语教室). Here, visitors can learn about traditional Miao crafts such as weaving, wine brewing, and the making of musical instruments. Periodic workshops and events such as Lusheng dance training (芦笙舞培训班) and crossbow competitions (射弩比赛) are held to demonstrate these time-honored skills.

The cultural wall (文化墙) and informational bulletin boards (宣传栏) vividly depict the history of the Miao people.
