Shaochong Village (哨冲村) is located in the southern part of Shaochong Town (哨冲镇), Shiping County (石屏县), Honghe Prefecture (红河州). Just 2 km from the township center and 70 km from the county seat, the village is easily accessible by asphalt road. At an altitude of 1,930 meters, it enjoys a pleasant subtropical plateau monsoon climate, with fertile soil suitable for tobacco, rice, radish, and vegetables.
The village covers 26.67 square kilometers and includes five natural hamlets—Shaochong, Longhei, Huangcaoba Xiaozhai, Huangcaoba Dazhai, and more. It is a traditional Yi ethnic settlement where agriculture and cultural heritage blend seamlessly.

Shaochong Village (哨冲村) has around 140 households and more than 500 residents, mostly of Yi ethnicity. Villagers still maintain traditional ways of life, with the majority engaged in farming and agriculture.
The surrounding landscape includes over 32,000 mu of forest, 460 mu of grassland, and rich mineral resources such as iron ore—making it both ecologically and economically diverse. ?⛰️

The village’s economy is built on flue-cured tobacco and vegetable cultivation, with rice and white radish as supporting crops. Known as a local agricultural base, it is working towards the vision of becoming the “Hometown of Vegetables and Grain.”
