Waitoushan Village of Xiaojie Town in Yimen County, Yuxi

Waitoushan Village (歪头山村) is located in Luoyin Village Committee (罗尹村委会), Xiaojie Township (小街乡), Yimen County (易门县), Yuxi City (玉溪市), Yunnan Province (云南省). It lies deep within the mountains in the northern part of Xiaojie Township, approximately 15 kilometers from the township government. History and Culture

The name "Waitoushan" (歪头山) derives from the slanted shape of the mountain. The village’s history dates back to the Anti-Japanese War period, when some Miao ancestors migrated from Chuxiong (楚雄) to escape the war and settled here. In 2016, Waitoushan Village was listed in the Chinese Traditional Villages Catalogue. In 2012, it was designated as a municipal-level cultural demonstration village.
