Short on time? Prioritize the Tea Horse Guesthouse → Halfway Guesthouse → Zhang Laoshi’s Guesthouse circuit (about 7 km). This loop features the heart of the gorge, including Yixiantian.

• Skip the hard part: Avoid the grueling “28 Bends” by taking a car directly to the Tea Horse Guesthouse. From there, hike a mostly flat 5 km trail to Halfway Guesthouse, then visit Yixiantian the next day.

• Where to stay: Halfway Guesthouse’s "OMG Balcony" offers front-row views of the snowy peaks—book at least 2 weeks ahead in peak season. Nearby guesthouses are budget-friendly and also offer access to the same scenic platforms.
