The first major Ludian County travel photo collection should focus on mountains, the Niulan River, and the county's changing landscape. Rather than using generic mountain photographs, the gallery can document specific sections of the Niulan River, valley walls, bridges, mountain roads, villages, farmland, houses, and riverside settlements. Wide-angle images can show the relationship between the river and surrounding mountains, while medium-distance and close-up photographs can record villages, agricultural fields, traditional houses, roadside landscapes, and everyday rural details. Separate seasonal galleries can document spring vegetation, summer rainfall and green mountains, autumn agricultural landscapes, and winter mountain scenery, creating a visual record of how Ludian changes throughout the year.
A second important collection should be the Longtoushan and Ludian Earthquake Heritage Photo Album. It can document Longtoushan Town, earthquake-related memorial facilities, surviving historical traces, post-earthquake reconstruction, new urban and village buildings, mountain roads, and present-day community life. Where historical archival photographs are available, they can be presented alongside contemporary photographs to show the relationship between the former landscape, the earthquake, reconstruction, and today's settlements. At the same time, a separate Ludian Rural Villages Album can photograph villages and agricultural landscapes in Wenping, Taoyuan, Ciyuan, Longshu, Lehong, Suoshan, and Longtoushan, including village streets, houses, farmland, orchards, rural markets, agricultural work, and local residents' everyday surroundings.
The third collection should focus on Ludian daily life, food, markets, and travel roads. A local-food album can photograph Hui and Muslim restaurants, beef and mutton dishes, local snacks, traditional meals, market ingredients, agricultural products, county-town food streets, and township markets. A dedicated Ludian Road Trip Photography Album can record the actual roads between the county town, Longtoushan, the mountain townships, and the Niulan River areas, including mountain bends, bridges, viewpoints, roadside villages, and changing weather. The complete gallery can then be organized into Ludian Landscapes, Niulan River, Longtoushan, Earthquake Heritage and Reconstruction, Rural Villages, Local Food, Markets and Daily Life, Agriculture, Road Trips, and Seasonal Ludian, with individual photographs connected to the corresponding travel maps and tour routes. This makes the photo section a practical visual guide to where to go, what to see, what to photograph, and how different parts of Ludian actually look, rather than a general collection of destination images.
