Zhaotong Airport was built in 1936 as a military airport. It was completed on November 20, 1993. Zhaotong Airport covers an area of ​​1,957 acres, with a flight zone rating of 4C and a runway length of 2,400 meters. It can be used for takeoff and landing of Boeing 737 and below. In 2017, Zhaotong has completed 258 kilometers of highway mileage, accounting for 1.5% of all highway mileage.
