Day 1 Arrive in Mojiang: Tropic of Cancer Marker Park, Bixi Ancient Town, International Twin Culture Park

Mojiang is a region known for its beautiful mountain landscapes, rich culture, and unique customs. It is the only Hani Autonomous County (哈尼族自治县) in China and the only place the Tropic of Cancer (北回归线) passes through in the country.

Highlights

Tropic of Cancer Marker Park (北回归线标志园): Located at 23°26′ north latitude, this park offers an astronomical phenomenon during the summer solstice when the sun is directly overhead, creating the "no shadow" effect.
Bixi Ancient Town (碧溪古镇): This charming town retains its old architectural style, and a walk along its stone-paved roads takes you through ancient courtyards and traditional buildings, offering a glimpse into the past.
International Twin Culture Park (国际双胞文化园): Mojiang is famous for its twin culture, and here you can witness the legendary Twin Wells, which have been a source of fascination for many. Mojiang is home to over 1,200 pairs of twins.
Local Cuisine: Don’t miss the Tongguan Yellow Braised Chicken and Purple Rice Stewed Chicken, both local specialties known for their rich, juicy flavors.
