Activities:

Arrival in Lijiang: Upon arriving at Lijiang Airport (丽江机场), you’ll be greeted by your tour guide and driver.

Transfer to Hotel: You will be transferred to your hotel in Lijiang for check-in and to relax.

Optional Evening Activity: If time permits, you can explore Lijiang Old Town (丽江古城), a UNESCO World Heritage Site, known for its cobbled streets, Naxi architecture, and vibrant local life.

Accommodation:Overnight stay in Lijiang.

Meals:Breakfast and lunch will depend on your arrival time. Dinner can be enjoyed at a local restaurant with traditional Naxi cuisine (纳西菜).

In the morning, your driver and tour guide will pick you up from your hotel and then drive to visit Tacheng. On the way, have a distance view of the First Bend of the Yangtze River with imposing gorge scenery and pay a visit to Shigu Old Town. Visit the Iron Chain Bridge ,the Red Army’s Long March Memorial Monument in the Shigu Old Town. The town of Stone Drum got its name from a large, cylindrical, marble tablet shaped like a drum. The scenery is magnificent as the road running through the Lijiang valley which is filled with wheat fields and drying haystacks.  After that, drive to Tacheng for overnight.

Morning:

Visit the First Bend of the Yangtze River: Depart from Lijiang early and head towards Shigu Town (石鼓镇). On the way, stop to admire the First Bend of the Yangtze River (长江第一湾). Here, the Yangtze River makes a dramatic turn, and you can enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding gorges and mountains.

Explore Shigu Old Town: Discover the Shigu Old Town (石鼓古镇), a historic settlement named after a large stone drum. Visit the Iron Chain Bridge (铁索桥) and the Red Army’s Long March Memorial Monument (红军长征纪念碑), marking a significant event in Chinese history.

Afternoon:Drive to Tacheng: Continue your drive to Tacheng (塔城乡), a small village in the Jinsha River Valley known for its unique landscapes. Upon arrival, check in at your hotel in Tacheng.

Morning:

Drive to Weixi: After breakfast, head to Weixi County (维西县), famous for its Tibetan villages (藏族村落) and remote beauty.

Visit Badi Village: On the way, stop at Badi Village (巴底村), a remote village that offers a glimpse into Tibetan lifestyle and traditions.

Afternoon:

Arrive at Luotong Village: Continue your journey to Luotong Village (洛通村). This charming village is located in a remote, picturesque setting and is perfect for experiencing local Tibetan culture and enjoying peaceful nature.

Accommodation:Overnight stay in Luotong Village.

Meals:Breakfast and lunch included. Enjoy a traditional Tibetan-style dinner at your accommodation.

Morning:

• Hike to No.1 Pasture: After breakfast, begin a 1.5-hour hike from Luotong Village to No.1 Pasture (一号草场). This picturesque pasture is known for its rich biodiversity and grazing yak herds (牦牛).

• Medicinal Materials Base: You’ll pass through an herbal medicine base, where you can learn about the local plants used for Tibetan medicine.

Afternoon:

• Hike to No.2 Pasture: After a short break, embark on a 3-hour hike to No.2 Pasture (二号草场). As you hike through the vast grasslands, enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding snow-capped peaks and alpine meadows.

• Camping: Set up camp at No.2 Pasture and enjoy the serene environment of the Baima Snow Mountain (白马雪山) range.

Breakfast, lunch, and dinner at camp (simple but hearty meals).

Morning:Hike Back to No.1 Pasture: After breakfast, take a 2.5-hour hike back from No.2 Pasture to No.1 Pasture. This trek will allow you to retrace your steps through the scenic meadows and enjoy different views of the snow-capped mountains.

Afternoon:Relax at No.1 Pasture: After arriving at No.1 Pasture, spend the afternoon relaxing and exploring the local area. The peaceful environment of the Baima Snow Mountain provides an excellent opportunity for photography and birdwatching.

Morning:

Hike Back to Luotong Village: After breakfast, descend from No.1 Pasture to Luotong Village. This hike will take around 2 hours, and you’ll pass through forests and meadows on your way down.

Afternoon:

• Lunch and Drive to Badi: Enjoy a simple lunch in Luotong Village before driving to Badi.

• Return to Tacheng: After lunch, take a car back to Tacheng and rest for a while.

• Drive to Shangri-La: In the late afternoon, drive to Shangri-La (香格里拉), a Tibetan town known for its breathtaking views, Tibetan monasteries, and unique cultural heritage.

Morning:

Explore Shangri-La: After breakfast, take some time to explore Shangri-La. You can visit Songzanlin Monastery (松赞林寺), Napa Lake (纳帕湖), or Dukezong Old Town (独克宗古城).

Free Time: If you have time before your flight, enjoy some last-minute shopping or relax in a Tibetan-style café.

Afternoon:Departure: Depending on your departure time, you’ll be transferred to Shangri-La Airport (香格里拉机场) for your flight.
