How to Get to Haba Snow Mountain from Lijiang
By Bus
At Lijiang Bus Station, tourists can take a daily bus departing at 09:00 to Baishuitai(白水台) and get off at Haba Village(哈巴村). The journey will take about 6 hours. Located at the foot of the western Haba snow mountain, Haba village has become a major mountaineering center, attractive to those seeking a relatively easy 5,000-meter peak.
Alternatively, you can take the bus from Lijiang Bus Station to Hutiaoxia Town(虎跳峡镇) for two hours, and then rent a local van to take you to Haba Village. Lijiang Bus Station, locating southwest to Lijiang Old Town on the Changshui Road, is the largest and the most trustworthy public transport station in Lijiang.
By Car-rental
Rent a car to Haba Snow Mountain is more convenient since you can decide your traveling time as you like. It is suitable for a flexible and comfortable way. It is better for you to rent a car with an experienced driver and a tour guide if you are foreign travelers. If you want to have more fun on the way, renting a car is highly recommended. The driver of chartering car can stop for you to enjoy the scenery and take photos. But a shuttle bus will not stop on the way. 2. High – speed Rail
Dali Station (大理站): There is a Dali Station in Dali City (Xiaguan Town), from which you can take a high – speed train directly to Lijiang Station (Lijiang Station). Lijiang Station is about 15 kilometers away from Lijiang City (Gucheng District), and you can take a taxi or bus to get there. Time : The train journey takes about 1 hour, and with the additional transportation time from the train station to the ancient city, it takes approximately 1.5 hours in total. Fare : The price for a second – class seat is around 60 – 70 yuan.

Time : The journey takes about 3 – 4 hours, and the actual time may vary depending on the road conditions and the number of stops. Fare : The ticket price is generally between 50 – 60 yuan, subject to the actual fare.
4. Chartering a Car
Cost : The cost of chartering a car varies depending on the type of vehicle and the distance of the trip. Generally, the cost for a day’s charter is around 400 – 600 yuan, and the specific price can be negotiated with the driver. Advantages : Chartering a car is relatively convenient as you can stop whenever you want according to your own travel schedule.
