Dali Old Town-Shuanglang Town Transportation

Shuanglang(双廊) is located in the northeast of Dali City and the northeast bank of Erhai Lake. It is provincial historic and cultural town in Yunnan Province and “the first town of Canghai(Cangshan Mountain and Erhai Lake) scenery”, as well as one of the must-see attractions in Dali City. Dali Ancient Town was the political, economic and cultural center of Yunnan for more than 500 years in the Tang and Song dynasties. There are 14 key cultural relic protection units above the municipal level in the ancient town, bearing the historical culture, religious culture, and ethnic culture of Dali. Dali Old Town is the core area of tourism in Dali. Shuanglang Town is under the jurisdiction of Dali city.

How to Get to Shuanglang Town from Dali Old Town

3. By Chartered Bus

It takes about 40 minutes from Dali Ancient Town to Shuanglang by chartered bus, about 100-150 yuan one way. 

4. By Ship

Taxi is a faster way to Shuanglang, more convenient and flexible, but spend more money. 

6. By Bike

There are many bicycle rental shops in the ancient town, the rental car is charged by the day, you can pay a deposit or mortgage documents plus a small deposit to rent a bicycle. It takes about 3-4 hours of riding time.

7. Hiking

Remember to bring rain gear because the rainy season in Yunnan is coming with the arrival of summer, showers are particularly numerous. Hiking is generally not recommended.
