    The middle-year months have very comfortable weather with high temperatures that are quite warm. These months see the most precipitation with 7 to 10 days of precipitation per month. June – August is the second busiest season for tourism in Yuxi, so lodging and other accommodations may cost slightly more.
  • Fall (September through November)
    Fall daily highs range from 94.1°F (34.5°C) and 79.1°F (26.2°C), which will feel very nice given the humidity and wind. It rains or snows a significant amount: 3 to 6 days per month. Tourism is the busiest during these months due to the weather, so hotels may be higher priced.
  • Winter (December through February)
    Weather is somewhat cool this time of year in Yuxi to be enjoyable for warm weather travelers. The average high during this season is between 89.9°F (32.2°C) and 71.5°F (21.9°C). What to Pack

Winter and Spring in Yuxi is windy with less rain and it is drier. Lipstick and moisturizer are essential. The temperature reaches lowest point in January, and the average temperature is between 8℃ and 16℃. You need to wear a warm fleece jacket. You can wear down jackets if you are afraid of cold in winter. Yuxi has a large temperature difference between day and night , and there is often a temperature difference of more than ten degrees between day and night. Even in mild summer and autumn, it is best to bring a coat.

The Best Time to Visit Yuxi

Yuxi has spring-like seasons, moderate temperatures in summer and autumn. The pleasant climate is suitable for traveling, especially in May and June, the temple fair in Gushan of Yuxi and the Copper Pot Food Festival in Fuxian Lake are all very popular maong locals and tourists. Mid-June is the best time to enjoy the ripe mango in Yuxi.

Travel Tips for Visiting Wenshan

Try to avoid the peak holidays such as Chinese Spring Festival (usually in late Jan or early Feb.), International Labor Day (May 01 to 03) and National Day (Oct 01-07). Spring Festival and the National Day golden week are the most crowded time for travelling. 

Peak Season and Low Season

The busiest month for tourism in Yuxi, China is October, followed by January and June. Prices for hotels and flights will be most expensive during these months, though you can save if you purchase well in advance. Tourists are unlikely to visit Yuxi in February. Those willing to visit at these times will likely find it the least expensive month.
