Ludian County Festivals and Events

In Ludian, there are 3 major ethnic minorities living there. People enjoy the harmony with each other and they also celebrate their different festivals and activities with each other.

Festival

1.Corban Festival
The Corban Festival is one part of the pilgrimage ceremonies of Muslims. During the first ten days of every December, Muslims go on a pilgrimage to Mecca. The last day of the pilgrimage is December 10th, on which grand ceremonial activities will be held.

2.Torch Festival

Every lunar year, on June 24th, the Yi ethnic minority celebrate their national festival—the Torch Festival.

3.Dancing Flower Festival

During the festival, the Miao ethnic minority dressed up to gather in the traditional dancing ground. Young men and women danced in the center of the flower poles.

Activity

1.Tea house

Teahouses can be seen everywhere, and local people always kill their time in these teahouses.

2.KTV

KTV is the best choice for one who wants to spent a pleasant night and enjoys himself to the full.

3.Others

Bars are also nice for young people. For old people, the veteran cadre activity center is a good choice to kill time.
