Janice’s Yunnan Classic Tour with Meili Snow Mountain

Dear Cindy,

Thank you so very much for ALL your help and advice from the very beginning of our planning this trip to your extraordinary help securing another plane ticket for me to return home to New York.  You worked hours late Friday night and then again Saturday morning for me.  And this was after staying with me until 23:00 the day of our welcome dinner.  This was the only major problem I encountered during my trip and it was not the fault of your company.  Please share my comments with your supervisor.

It’s good having one guide for 12 days because Tom got to know what I like — the last day before my plane departed for Kunming he did a good job of keeping me happily occupied.  We visited two shops — one craftsman sold wooden items he made, another sold black pottery.  We also walked around a deserted village because an earthquake caused rocks to break the buildings.  And the food market in Shangri-la which also included useful craft items, like handmade kitchen copper items, was exciting.

Tom and I got along well — he didn’t just lecture me about Chinese and Tibetan culture; we shared non-stop conversations about Chinese and American history and life.

Thank you for the very good seat on the plane from Dali to Kunming.

I appreciate yours and Tom’s flexibility of being able to have included dinners instead of lunches; sometimes this made more sense because of the itinerary for the day.  Tom was especially good about adding places because he got to know my interests.  I never felt rushed with his touring me around.  And we have very similar taste in craft items so we decided together which items I should buy and I’m happy with all my purchases.
Thank you, Cindy, you are a super person.  I am so glad you were assigned to coordinate my trip — lucky me!!
