Cha Chunmei – Representative Inheritor of Yi Dage Project in Weishan County, Dali 

Cha Chunmei(茶春梅) was born in 1962 in Qingyun Village(青云村), Ma’anshan Township(马鞍山乡), Weishan(巍山) Yi Autonomous County, Dali Bai Autonomous Prefecture. She is a representative inheritor of the Yi Dage Project which is Folk Song and Dance of Yi Ethnic Minority.

Life Experience

Cha Chunmei loved the folk songs and dances of the Yi Ethnic since childhood, and pursued the folk art of the Yi Ethnic. She gradually grew into a backbone of folk songs and dances and won praises from the masses.

Her Dage has bright rhythm and diverse pace, such as Sixteen Steps of Swaying(十六步平摆), Sanbu Yinian(三步一掂), Banfan Banzhaun(半翻半转), Sanfan Liangzhuan(三翻两转) , etc. In addition to Yi Dage, she can also sing many Yi folk songs. With sweet and high voice, she is a well-known folk singer.

Achievements

In recent years, she has participated in various performances organized by the province, state and county. In 2006, he participated in the provincial cultural system reform and cultural industry seminar welcoming performance; performed at CCTV “2006 Chinese folk songs and dances festival “. 

Cha Chunmei is not only the leader of the art of singing, but also actively teaches the art of singing songs to the folks, cultivates the talents of subsequent generations, and promotes the inheritance and development of the art of singing.
