Nestled in Mashu Town, Qiaojia County, Mashu Village serves as the administrative and economic heart of the region. Located at the confluence of Zhaotong and Qujing cities and Qiaojia and Huize counties, this highland village lies at 1,300 meters above sea level, characterized by mountainous terrain, an average annual temperature of 11.5°C, and yearly precipitation around 550mm—ideal for cultivating corn, potatoes, and other staple crops.

As of late 2019, the village registered a population of 39,068, with multiple natural settlements including Guanjiaqing and Laowu. It spans a broad area with a dynamic blend of tradition and innovation.
