Day 1: Lanping (Nujiang) to Tiger Leaping Gorge

Our journey began in Lanping, a small town located in Nujiang Autonomous Prefecture. We woke up early in the morning and headed to the Tiger Leaping Gorge, which is known for its stunning scenery and challenging hiking trails. The gorge is named after a legend that a tiger once leaped across the river to escape from hunters.

We started our hike at the upper reaches of the Tiger Leaping Gorge and made our way down the steep slopes. The views were breathtaking, and we couldn’t help but stop to take pictures every few minutes. The river below was raging, and we could hear the roar of the water as we made our way down the trail.

After a few hours of hiking, we reached the bottom of the gorge and stopped for a picnic lunch. We then continued on to our accommodations for the night, a small guesthouse in a nearby village.

Day 2: Tiger Leaping Gorge to Lijiang

The next day, we woke up early and continued our hike along the Three Parallel Rivers. We passed through lush forests and across rocky cliffs as we made our way towards Lijiang.

As we approached Lijiang, we could see the ancient city walls and the stunning Jade Dragon Snow Mountain in the distance. We stopped for a while to take in the view and then continued on to our accommodations for the night.

Day 3: Lijiang Laojun Mountain National Park

Our final day was spent exploring the Lijiang Laojun Mountain National Park. The park is home to some of the most beautiful scenery in China, including towering mountains, pristine lakes, and lush forests.

We started our day by taking a cable car up to the summit of Laojun Mountain. From there, we had stunning views of the surrounding landscape. We then made our way down the mountain and stopped at a few of the park’s scenic spots along the way.

Our hike finally came to an end as we reached the bottom of the mountain and made our way back to Lijiang. We spent our last night in China enjoying the city’s vibrant culture and delicious food.

Overall, the 3 Days Three Parallel Rivers Hiking Tour from Lanping (Nujiang) to Lijiang Laojun Mountain National Park was an unforgettable experience.
