Autonomous Counties in Yunnan

Autonomous County is one of the administrative divisions in China. Its administrative division level is the same as that of municipal district, county-level city, county, banner, Autonomous Banner, forest area and special zone. It is a county-level administrative region, usually under the jurisdiction of municipality directly under the central government, prefecture level city, region, autonomous prefecture or directly under the jurisdiction of province (only Hainan Province). As of May 2019, there are 69 counties and 29 autonomous counties in Yunnan Province.
