With low elevation and good photothermal condition, Daju town is endowed with fertile land and abundant production including rice, wheat, corn, soybeans, chicken beans, peas and other food crops; watermelon seeds (red melon seeds), sesame, sugar cane, cotton, flue-cured tobacco, ginger and other economic crops; pomegranate, grape, peach, plum, apricot, pear, apple, walnut, plantain, persimmon and other economic trees.

Due to the location of dry-hot valley, there is high accumulated temperature and great temperature difference between day and night in Daju Town. So it is the largest olive planting base in Yunnan province and the largest corn planting base in Lijiang city.
