Ninger County Transportation

Ning'er Hani and Yi Autonomous County is an autonomous county under the jurisdiction of Pu'er City. The population of the county has a large proportion of native Hani and Yi people in a predominately Han Chinese population. The transportation condition of Ning'er Hani and Yi Autonomous County is extremely convenient. Long-distance bus is the main travel means here.

How to Get to Ninger County

1. By Air

There are no airports in Ninger County. Visitors can take a plane to Simao District, Puer, then take a long-distance bus to Ninger County.

2. By Train

Pu'er Railway Station is the middle station of the Yumo Railway under construction and an important station for the Laos section of the Trans-Asian Railway. It is expected to be put into use by 2020.

3.  By High-speed Train

Although there is no high-speed rail station in Ninger, it is very convenient to take a high-speed train in Ninger High-speed Railway Trackless Station (in Ninger Bus Passenger Terminal). At the end of 2016, with the opening of the Guikun section of the Shanghai-Kunming high-speed railway and the Baikun section of the Yunnan-Guizhou railway, Yunnan entered the high-speed rail era and accessed the national high-speed rail network. However, only the passengers of Kunming, Qujing, Fuyuan, Mile, Puzhehei, Guangnan and other cities and counties can take high-speed trains. Starting in July this year, 28 counties and cities transportation enterprises in Pu'er, Xishuangbanna, Wenshan, Yuxi, Kunming and Chuxiong of Yunnan Province signed a cooperation agreement with Kunming Railway Travel Service Co., Ltd. of Kunming Railway Bureau. Through the "connection of bus and train" new mode of joint combined transport, expand the high-speed rail radiation area.
