Anding Village (安定村) is located in the northwest of Yinyuan Town (因远镇), Yuanjiang County (元江县), Yuxi City (玉溪市), Yunnan Province (云南省). It is situated 6 kilometers from the town center of Yinyuan and 41 kilometers from Yuanjiang County seat. The village lies on the western slopes of the Ailao Mountains (哀牢山), at the junction of three prefecture-level cities: Yuxi (玉溪), Pu’er (普洱), and Honghe (红河).

History and Culture

Originally known as Xiaodiansuo (小甸索), Anding Village (安定村) is the largest Bai ethnic village in Yuanjiang County (元江县). Rich in cultural heritage, it is one of the best-preserved Bai ethnic settlements in the region, notable for its traditional Bai architecture and cultural customs. Historically, it has always been a Bai community and remains a cultural stronghold of the Bai people.
