Travel Tips

Tiger Leaping Gorge sits at a high altitude with rapidly changing weather, so prepare accordingly.

Wear comfortable, durable hiking shoes with good grip, and consider bringing knee pads to reduce strain during long descents.

Lightweight clothing is suitable, but if traveling in winter or the rainy season, pack a windbreaker, gloves, and a waterproof jacket to ensure warmth and dryness.

The trek requires sustained energy, so carry high-calorie snacks such as chocolate, nuts, or beef jerky. Although food and drinks are available at guesthouses along the route, it’s recommended to bring extra water—UV rays are strong, and dehydration may occur quickly.

Sun protection is essential; pack sunscreen, sunglasses, and a sun hat. Pace yourself during the hike, as ascending too quickly may cause altitude discomfort. Take short breaks, especially at viewpoints.

Electricity and hot water availability may be limited in some guesthouses, so keep power banks ready and manage battery usage.
