Geographic Location
Dayuanzi Village (大园子村) belongs to the Malin Village Committee of Donggan Town, Malipo County, Wenshan Zhuang and Miao Autonomous Prefecture, Yunnan Province, and is a mountainous area. Donggan Town is located in the northeast of Malipo County, bordering Muyang Town of Funing County across the river to the east, Vietnam’s Tongwen County to the south, Tiechang Township of Malipo County to the west, and Heizhiguo Township of Guangnan County to the north. Dayuanzi Village is about 38 kilometers from Donggan Town.
Cultural History
Donggan Town, where Dayuanzi Village is located, has a long history. It was once the Fourth District of Malipo City, later renamed Donggan District and Donggan Commune, before being officially established as Donggan Town in 1988. The Malin Village Committee and Dayuanzi Village are multi-ethnic settlements, primarily inhabited by Miao and Zhuang ethnic groups, with rich and diverse ethnic cultures.
