In 1982, Wang Zhonglin, along with Wang Kailiang, participated in the first Minority Traditional Sports and Games of Wenshan Prefecture and Yunnan Province with “Rolling Hulusheng” and “Rolling Suona,” both winning first prizes. In September of the same year, they also performed at the Second National Minority Traditional Sports and Games in Hohhot, Inner Mongolia, winning the Excellent Performance Award. In August 1986, Wang Zhonglin again brought these performances to the Third National Minority Traditional Sports and Games in Urumqi, Xinjiang, winning the Excellent Program Award.

Wang Zhonglin started learning Hulusheng performance from his father at a young age, later studying under the folk Hulusheng artist Wang Zhenggang. After five years of study, he mastered advanced Hulusheng dance skills. Through the “Master-Disciple Inheritance” method, he has trained a group of young Hulusheng musicians, ensuring the continuation of this traditional art. - Participation in Cultural Activities
