Hello, my name is Aaron and I am from Portland, Oregon in the western part of the United States. I have a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology with a Teaching English Certificate and a Linguistics minor from Portland State University.
What drew my interest to visiting China is because I am interested in the 5000-year-old history, the architecture, the diverse climates and landscapes, the different ethnicities of China, the different dialects of China and the different languages from Tibetan, Uyghur, and Mongolian, and the different variations of Chinese cuisines that vary from region to region.
My hobbies include travelling around China, Chinese History, learning the different Chinese dialects, Tibetan, Mongolian, and Uyghur languages. Volunteering and Running races that are put on by certain running organization within different cities, learning about the different fashions of China in what clothing styles were popular from different time periods in China, and following the CBA which is the professional Chinese basketball league.
I am very good at traveling around China and finding my way around different cities in different provinces from taking the local public transit, to the taxi, as well as the local street bike rentals.
I hope that my skills will be an asset and contributing factor to helping Yaso Travel in its continued success in providing tours where people get to see the real part of China in how most people really live instead of just being taken to just modern shopping malls and financial districts.
