Day 1 Arrive in Kunming

Arrive in the beautiful spring city – Kunming and we will pick you up at airport , then check in hotel and enjoy your free time. Kunming, the capital of Yunnan, is China’s famous historical and cultural city, also China’s excellent tourism city, and a collection of natural landscape and human landscape.
Day 2 Kunming
Sightseeing and Activities: Stone forest, flower and bird market, Dianchi dam to see the gulls
Accommodation: Kunming
Meals: Breakfast and Lunch
At 09:00 am, meet your tour guide & driver at Jinma Biji Archway and then drive about 85km to the Stone Forest. An old local saying says that ‘If you have visited Kunming without seeing the Stone Forest, you have wasted your time.’ Truly, the Stone Forest is one of the most important attractions of Yunnan.
In the afternoon, drive back to Kunming to visit Birds and Flowers Market. After that , we will go to shoot black-headed gulls on Dianchi Dam, where full of dancing black-headed gulls; wander at Yunnan Military Academy near Green Lake or Nanping Street-Mabi chicken Square; eat authentic Yunnan Crossing-the-bridge rice noodles, such as “Qiaoxiangyuan”. Also some fruit snacks are necessary for free activities throughout the whole day.
Day 3 Kunming-Dongchuan-Nianhu Lake
Sightseeing and Activities: Red land in Dongchuan, Nianhu Lake Birding, Daqiao Black-necked Crane Nature Reserve
Accommodation: Huize

Set off in the morning and head to Dongchuan Red Land. Probably arrive at moon to have lunch. After a short rest, head to Luoxiagou, Qicaipo and Jinxiuyuan to photograph, and go to Waliangfangzi to shoot sunset.
At the late afternoon, drive to Nianhu lake in Huize.
Day 4 Nianhu Lake-Dashanbao Nature Reserve
Sightseeing and Activities: Nianhu Lake Birding, Daqiao Black-necked Crane Nature Reserve

Early in the morning to shoot Nianhu Lake sunrise and a flock of birds flying when the sun comes from the lake and paved with red and dyed golden, black-necked cranes fly up to the sky, just at this moment, someone rowing a small boat and the water rippling gently, the sight is more beautiful.
After breakfast, go to the commanding height to shoot Lijiawan panorama. Walk down the street through a long winding mountain road, and the blue dress of the lake is in front of you. Under the mountains, the winding water bank linked with the red earth, which is Yangmei mountain and there is a village called Li jiawan. Standing in the eye of Li jiawan village, water on the left and mountain on the right. A lake of water to the horizon, in the sunlight, flickering intoxicating eyes, sometimes under the shadow of the hills and trees, coy to reveal the attractive appearance.
After lunch, take a rest and set off in the afternoon to shoot the sunset of the lake and the return of the black-necked cranes, in the loneliness of intoxicating beauty, you can get a kind of longing of wide and boundless.
And then drive to Zhaotong
Day 5 Dashanbao Nature Reserve
Sightseeing and Activities: Dashanbao Nature Reserve, Dahaizi sunrise, Black-necked Cranes

The whole day for Dashanbao photography(Dahaizi sunrise, black-necked cranes, black-necked cranes homing)
Head to Dahaizi early in the morning to shoot black-necked cranes and the sunrise, in the faint light, you can see the figure of a large group of crane in a long row along the sea, and with the sound of “goo – goo -“. The sun leaps from the water and lights the sea full of golden, and you will head to Dahaizi birds monitoring room on the hillside 200 meters away from the black-necked crane under the arrangement of Dashanbao reserve administration, please be quite and can’t disturb the cranes. Have a rest after lunch and photograph in the afternoon. The elves gather together from all sides and prepare to return to their nest before darkness.
Day 6 Zhaotong-Xishuangbanna

After breakfast, we will drive you to Zhaotong airport and take flight to Gasa international airport of Jinghong.
And the driver will pick you up at Jinghong airport and to the hotel to check in. You could have a tour around of the Jinghong city by yourself . Recommend view is Manting park, Mengle Buddhist temple and Gaozhuang night market.
Day 7 Jinghong-Menglun town
Sightseeing and Activities: Bubeng Nature Reserve, Menglun tropical botanical garden

We will drive about 68 kilometers from Jinghong city to Menglun town after breakfast in early morning. Go to Bubeng Nature Reserve to watch birds, where tall trees grow and cable bridges are set to connect trees with each other on the top for people to walk on and get open view. Move back across rainforest to Menglun, where the biggestTropical Botanical Garden is located.
Xishuangbanna Tropical Botanical Garden of the Chinese Academy of Sciences is a national AAAAA tourist attraction. It is the botanical garden with the largest area, the richest collection species and the most specialized botanical gardens in China. There is a old saying”You didn’t come to Xishuangbanna if you didn’t see the tropical botanical garden”. Menglun botanical garden has the reputation of “miniature of plant kingdom” and “heart of Emerald”. Therefore, when people come to Banna, they have to go to the botanical garden to fulfill their wishes.
Day 8 Menglun town -Wangtianshu
Sightseeing and Activities: Wangtianshu scenic area, Nanla river rafting, Experience the beautiful and magic tropical forest

Morning: Experience the beautiful and magic tropical forest including boat and air-corridor
Afternoon: 6 km Nanla River rafting. You can see the birds along the river.
Day 9 Wangtainshu-Jinghong

- Tips: The optimal times for capturing photos of the black-headed gulls are between 8:00-9:00 AM and 4:00-5:00 PM. Both Green Lake and Dianchi Dam are hotspots for these birds, where you’ll be able to take multiple shots using medium to large apertures. Day 2 Kunming-Dongchuan

- After concluding your shoot at Damakan, make your way to Lepuao. Once you finish capturing the enchanting scenes there, continue your journey to Huize.
- Enchanting Dusk by the Lake
- As the sun begins to set, find a spot along the shore and immerse yourself in the breathtaking view. The round red sun paints the sky with vibrant shades of red, creating a magical atmosphere as golden-red light dances on the lake’s surface. The mysterious ambiance of dusk unfolds before you.

- After enjoying a lunch break, take some time to relax before resuming photography in the afternoon. Day 7 Dashanbao-Kunming

- In the morning, go to Dahaizi to shoot black-necked cranes and sunrise. Once completion, forward to Kunming, probably arrive in the evening. We will send you to Kunming railway station, where is the starting point of airport terminal line 2 and convenient to go anywhere.
- Tips: Probably arrive in Kunming at 16:00 and suggest to book the return trip after 21:30, but still recommend you to stay in kunming for one night.
Day 8 Departure from Kunming
Sightseeing and Activities:Hiageng Park, Haigeng Dam, Daguan Park and The Green Lake birding by your own.

Day 1 Arrive in Kunming

Arrive in Kunming this morning, drive to Kunming Dianchi Lake Dam for bird( seagull) watching. Diandhi Lake Dam, on the eastern shore of the Dianchi Lake, the dam is one of the popular sites in Kunming’s Dianchi Lake Holiday Resort 8 km from downtown. During the Chinese New Year Festival, herds of locals and tourists will gather here to feed seagulls and admire scenery of the West Hill.
Day 2 Kunming-Huize-Nianhu Lake
Sightseeing and Activities: Kunming to Daqiao Township, Nianhu Lake, Black-necked Crane Watching

This morning, pick up at your hotel, drive from Kunming to Daqiao Township of Huize County (about 270 km, 4 hours driving). Then visit Nianhu Lake Black-necked Crane Nature Reserve. After the sunset, go back the hotel.
Day 3 Nianhu Lake-Huize

Get up in the early morning before the sunrise. Walk to Lijiawan village(李家湾） by passing through mountain road. Standing at Lijiawan village to watch the panorama of Nianhu Lake. At this time, you could see the black-necked crane flying over when the sun is rising.
At noon, you can have a rest in the hotel. About 3:00 pm, go on your bird watching at Nianhu Lake until the black-necked fly away.
In the evening, drive back to Huize County for overnight.
Day 4 Huize-Weining County-Caohai Lake

After breakfast, drive to Dashanbao township of Zhaotong City( about 235 km, 5 hours driving). Zhaotong is aprefecture-level city located in the northeast corner of Yunnan province of Southwest China.
During the road to Dashanbao Scenic Resort, you will pass through “Xianrentian” , a meadow which you will feel like in Mongolia. Then visit Tiaodun Lake. About 5:00 pm, climb up to Jigongshan Mountain to watch the sunset. Jigongshan Mountain is a spectacular scenery in Dashanbao Scenic Area. The riverbank suddenly narrowed when flows into this area, and the high mountains beans are interlockin. With a drop with more than 2000 m, formed the very magnificent wonders like sea of clouds. It’s known as the Grand Canyon in China.
Day 8 Dashanbao
Sightseeing and Activities: Dahaizi Sunrise, Dashanbao Bird Watching

This morning, drive to Dahaizi in Dashanbao Black-necked Crane Nature Reserve at about 6:00 am. The sunrise there can not be missed and then start your one day bird watching here. This afternoon, you will come back to hotel until the cranes fly back to their nests.

Arrive in Kunming this morning, drive to Kunming Dianchi Lake Dam for bird( seagull) watching. Diandhi Lake Dam, on the eastern shore of the Dianchi Lake, the dam is one of the popular sites in Kunming’s Dianchi Lake Holiday Resort 8 km from downtown. During the Chinese New Year Festival, herds of locals and tourists will gather here to feed seagulls and admire scenery of the West Hill.
Day 2 Kunming-Nianhu Lake of Daqiao Township, Huize County

Get up in the early morning before the sunrise. Walk to Lijiawan village(李家湾) by passing through mountain road. Standing at Lijiawan village to watch the panorama of Nianhu Lake. At this time, you could see the black-necked crane flying over when the sun is rising.
At noon, you can have a rest in the hotel. About 3:00 pm, go on your bird watching at Nianhu Lake until the black-necked fly away.

Day 1 Arrive in Kunming

Welcome to Kunming, the Spring City of China! Upon arrival at Kunming airport/train station, your local tour guide and driver will meet you at the arrival hall and escort you to your hotel. You will begin your journey to the diverse and captivating Yunnan province from the capital city, Kunming.
After a short rest, enjoy a stroll in Kunming’s most picturesque park, the Green Lake Park. This charming area features tea houses and small boutiques selling handicrafts and beautiful local paintings. You can also share in the joy of locals practicing tai chi, performing opera, and engaging in other vibrant activities. If you visit the park in November or December, you’ll see a large flock of red-beaked seagulls that migrate from Siberia.
Day 2 Kunming-Huize
Sightseeing and Activities: Da Hai Cao Shan Scenic Area, Huize Mosque

After breakfast, drive about 3.5 hours (211 km) to Huize County, Qujing. After lunch, visit the Da Hai Cao Shan Scenic Area (about 1.5 hours) and pay a visit for about 90 minutes. Afterward, head back to Huize County and visit Huize Mosque.
Day 3 Huize-Zhaotong
Sightseeing and Activities: Yulu Geosuture, Zhaotong Baxian Mosque, Zhaoyang Old Town

After breakfast, drive to Yulu Geosuture (Yulu Dadifeng) to admire the magnificent natural formations. After lunch in Huize, drive to Zhaotong (about 2 hours). Visit the Baxian Grand Mosque, which was built in 1730. Then, explore Zhaoyang Old Town, which has a history of over 200 years.
Day 4 Zhaotong
Sightseeing and Activities: Dashanbao Scenic Area, Jigong Mountain, Ludian Tuogu Mosque

In the morning, drive to Dashanbao Scenic Area (1.5 hours), 79 km from downtown Zhaotong. It is the winter habitat for black-necked cranes. The scenery of Jigong Mountain, particularly the sea of clouds, is a must-see for tourists. Continue to Ludian County to visit Tuogu Mosque. With its unique architectural style, Tuogu Mosque is a first-class mosque in Yunnan, renowned for its building techniques and scientifically sound structure.
After your visit, return to Zhaotong City.
Day 5 Zhaotong-Kunming

Drive back to Kunming after breakfast. Upon arrival, visit Nancheng Mosque, the largest mosque in Kunming.
