How to Get to Daguan County from Zhaotong City (Zhaoyang District)
Cizhong Village is an administrative village in Yanmen Township, Deqin County, Diqing Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Yunnan Province. It is about 80km from Deqin County and 110km from Weixi County. The transportation between Weixi County and Cizhong Village is not convenient and car-rental is the best travelling way.
How to Get to Cizhong Village from Weixi County?
By Bus
There is only one shuttle bus departing from the county seat of Weixin in the forenoon, via Baijixun(白济汛), Kangpu(康普), Yezhi(叶枝), Badi(巴迪), Cizhong Bridge(茨中桥), Yanmen(燕门), Yunling(云岭). Tourists can get off at the Cizhong Bridge and then walk about 20 minutes to Cizhong village.
By Car-rental
Renting a car is suitable for a flexible and comfortable way. It is better for you to rent a car with an experienced driver and a tour guide if you are foreign travelers. If you want to have more fun on the way, renting a car is highly recommended way. The driver of chartering car can stop for you to enjoy the scenery and take photos. Cizhong Village is located in Yanmen Township, Deqin County, Diqing Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Yunnan Province. It is situated on a gentle slope along the banks of the Lancang River Gorge. The specific location is as follows:
East: Bordering Gongshan County, Nujiang Prefecture.
West: Adjacent to Cikadong Village, Xiaruo Township.
South: Connected to Badong Village in the same township.
North: Joined with Chunduole Village in the same township.
Elevation: The average altitude is about 1,800 meters.
Transportation: It is approximately 80 kilometers from Deqin County town and about 200 kilometers from Shangri-La City. There are buses from Deqin Bus Station to Cizhong Village, with a total journey time of about 3.5 hours.

By Bus (Recommended)
Departure: Yuxi Central Bus Station (玉溪中心汽车站)
- Address: Hongta District, Yuxi (玉溪市红塔区)
- Frequency: Every 30-60 minutes from 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM
- Duration: Approximately 1.5 hours
- Price: ¥25-35
- Note: Direct buses available (look for “澄江” or “Chengjiang” on bus display)
Alternative Bus:
- From Yuxi High-Speed Bus Station (玉溪高快汽车站)
- Slightly more expensive but more comfortable seating
By Car/Taxi
Route:
- Take Kunmo Expressway (昆磨高速) northbound
- Exit at Chengjiang toll gate
- Total distance: ~60 km
Duration: 50-70 minutes depending on traffic
Taxi Cost: ¥150-200 one way
Ride-hailing: Didi Chuxing available (recommend booking in advance)
By Private Transfer
- Many hotels can arrange private cars (¥250-350)
- More flexible but more expensive than bus
Important Tips
Best Time to Travel:
- Morning (7-9 AM) for least traffic
- Avoid Friday evenings and Sunday afternoons
Border Crossing Note:
- Chengjiang is in Yuxi prefecture but borders Kunming
- No special permits needed
Return Options:
- Last bus back to Yuxi departs Chengjiang Bus Station at 7:00 PM
- Taxis available until 10:00 PM
