Brief Introduction
Also known as Majie Bus Station, Kunming West Bus Station (昆明西部汽车客运站) is the closest station to the city center of Kunming among the five large bus terminals. Opened to public on November 15, 2009,it is granted as a first class bus station with the largest passenger volume in Kunming. The buses from Kunming to West Yunnan including destinations of Lijiang, Dali, Diqing, Nujiang, Dehong, Baoshan and Linchang depart from Kunming West Bus Station. In the peak seasons(especially China national holiday), almost 800 daily buses departing from the station with ridership of 30,000 to 40,000 maximum and in the low season, about 400 buses transporting at least 10,000 passengers. The bus station features Ticketing Hall, Ticketing Vending Machine, Waiting Room, Left Luggage Office, Luggage Inspection Machine, ATM.
