Due to its remote location, public transportation options require traveling to Lijiang (丽江) or Yulong County (玉龙县) first, before transferring to local transportation to reach Daju Town. Here are the main ways to get there.

    Main Transportation Options

    From Kunming (昆明) to Lijiang (丽江)

    To get to Lijiang (丽江), there are several options:

    High-Speed Train (高铁)

    • High-speed trains depart from both Kunming Station (昆明站) and Kunming South Station (昆明南站) to Lijiang Station (丽江站), with a journey time of approximately 3-4 hours. The ticket price for a second-class seat is around 166-199 RMB.

    Flight (飞机)

    • Kunming Changshui International Airport (昆明长水国际机场) offers direct flights to Lijiang Sanyi Airport (丽江三义机场), with a flight time of about 40 minutes. This is the most efficient option for travelers looking to save time.

    Long-Distance Bus (长途汽车)

    • Long-distance buses from Kunming West Bus Station (昆明西部汽车客运站) operate to Lijiang, with a journey time of approximately 8-10 hours. Ticket prices range from 180 to 252 RMB.

    From Lijiang (丽江) to Daju Town (大具乡)

    Once in Lijiang (丽江), you have the following options to reach Daju Town (大具乡):

    Private Car/Taxi (包车/打车)

    • Daju Town (大具乡) is located about 80 kilometers from Lijiang (丽江), and the drive takes approximately 1.5 to 2 hours. It is recommended to book a vehicle through a platform or hire a taxi. The cost for a private car is approximately 200-300 RMB.

    Public Transportation (公共交通)

    • You can take a bus or taxi to Lijiang Bus Station (丽江客运站), and then transfer to a bus heading to Daju Town (大具乡). However, bus departures are infrequent, so it’s important to check the schedule in advance.

    Travel Planning

    • If you have sufficient time, it is recommended to spend 1 day in Lijiang (丽江), where you can explore the Old Town (古城) and Yulong Snow Mountain (玉龙雪山), before heading to Daju Town (大具乡).

    • Note: As Daju Town (大具乡) is in a more remote area, public transportation may not be very convenient. It’s advisable to arrange your transportation in advance, either through local accommodation or by hiring a car.

    Alternative Option: Self-Driving

    • If you prefer to drive, you can take G56 Hangrui Expressway (杭瑞高速, G56) from Kunming (昆明) to Lijiang (丽江), and then use a GPS to navigate to Daju Town (大具乡). The total distance is approximately 500 kilometers, and the drive will take around 6-7 hours.
