Jianchuan (剑川县) is a county in the Dali Bai Autonomous Prefecture located in the northwest of Yunnan Province. The wood carvings in Jianchuan are known all over the world. It is about 126 kilometers away from Dali City and 464 kilometers away from Kunming. In Jianchuan, transportation is very convenient and tourists can get there by long-distance bus or car-rental.

How to Get to Jianchuan County from Kunming?

By Bus

At Kunming West Bus Station, there are two regular buses departing at 9:30 am and 19:00 pm to Jianchuan Bus Station. The journey takes 5.5 hours. Kunming West Bus Station is located at No.18, Yining Road, Xishan District, Kunming.

By Car-rental
