    Dali Ancient Town (大理古城) is located in Dali Bai Autonomous Prefecture, Yunnan Province, China. The town lies in the western part of Yunnan, near the Erhai Lake (洱海), and is surrounded by mountains, offering scenic views and a rich cultural atmosphere.

    Dali Ancient Town is strategically located with close proximity to several significant locations:

    • East: Erhai Lake (洱海), one of the largest highland lakes in China, lies just to the east of the town, offering beautiful lake views and recreational activities.
    • West: The Cangshan Mountain (苍山), which rises to a height of 4,122 meters, is located to the west, providing a dramatic backdrop to the town and offering hiking and nature exploration opportunities.
    • North: Dali City (大理市) is to the north, and the ancient town is part of this larger administrative region.
