How to Get to Bamei Village from Kunming

Being around 400 kilometers from the provincial capital Kunming（昆明）, Bamei Village（坝美村）is known for its beautiful water scenery. It is also one of the most famous scenic areas in Yunnan, which can be easily reached by coach, train and plane.

How to Get to Bamei Village from Kunming

1. By Long-Distance Coach

Please be noted, that after you have arrived at the local coach station of Guangnan County（广南县）, you will still need to transfer by local coach or taxi to Bamei Village（坝美村）. However, it is absolutely important for you to reach a deal with the driver or conductor before departure.

Everyday, there will be about 3 coaches departing from Kunming East Coach Terminal（昆明东部汽车客运站）, and the schedule is listed as follows:

This coach terminal can be reached by taking City Bus No.22; No.29; No.60; No.237; No.902; No.906; No. C136 ; No. C137; No. K17; No. K18; No. K39; No. K9; No.Z110 (fare ranges from CNY 1-CNY 10), and the taxi fare from downtown area is around CNY 40 (according to the Chinese Uber, Didi).

2. By High-Speed Train

Please be noted, that after you have arrived at the local railway station of Guangnan County（广南县）, you will still need to transfer by local coach or taxi to Bamei Village（坝美村）. However, it is absolutely important for you to reach a deal with the driver or conductor before departure.

Everyday, there will be about 17 trains departing from Kunming Railway Station（昆明火车站）and Kunming South Railway Station（昆明南火车站）to Guangnan County（广南县）, and the schedule is listed as follows:

This railway station can be reached by City Bus No. K32; No. K33; No. K34; No. K35; No. K37; No. K38; No. K39; No. K40; No. K41; No. K42; No. K43(CNY 1 for ordinary, CNY 2 for air-conditioned), and Airport Express No. 919K (approximately CNY 13), as well as Metro Line 1(can be transferred to at Dongfeng Square Station) The taxi fare from downtown area is around CNY 120 (according to the Chinese Uber, Didi).

3. By Plane

Please be noted, that after you have arrived at the local airport of Wenshan Prefecture（文山州）, you will still need to transfer by local coach or taxi to Bamei Village（坝美村）. However, it is absolutely important for you to reach a deal with the driver or conductor before departure.

Everyday, there will be about 2 flights departing from Kunming Changshui International Airport（昆明长水国际机场）, and the schedule is listed as follows:

Still, as this transportation method is much more time-consuming (longer transfer time may apply) and much more expensive, we recommended you to take the high-speed train instead.
