Transportation: Air-conditioned tourist or business vehicles, including transfers from Dali to Lijiang and return bullet train transfers.

Tickets: First entrance tickets for all listed attractions, including the Erhai Lake private cruise, Osprey Performance, Dali Haibin Flower Garden, Sangushui Scenic Area, Shuhe Ancient Town, and Dongba Secret Realm.

Meals: Breakfast, lunch, and dinner as specified in the itinerary (standard meal 35 RMB/person; breakfast at the hotel; not consumed, no refund).

Tour guide services: Full Chinese-speaking professional guide throughout the trip. For groups of 8 or fewer, a driver-guide service will be provided.

Complimentary items: Erhai sightseeing bicycle or small horse cart with specialty morning tea, and the Lijiang Lishui Jinsha Grand Performance (optional participation).

Lijiang Old Town maintenance fees and scenic area shuttle fees.

Single room supplement (if traveling alone, the additional room cost must be paid).

Travel accident insurance and personal expenses.

Children’s cost excludes attraction tickets, bed, and round-trip bullet train tickets; includes only half meals and vehicle seat.

No refund for voluntarily skipping any attractions, meals, accommodations, or complimentary items listed in the itinerary.

Any difference in ticket cost due to use of senior, guide, or military cards is non-refundable.

Costs arising from force majeure or delays are borne by the guest.

Personal expenses not mentioned in the itinerary, such as hotel telephone, laundry, beverages, etc.

Travel Tips

Traveling through Dali and Lijiang offers stunning scenery and rich cultural experiences, but a few practical tips will ensure your journey is smooth and enjoyable. First, high-altitude precautions are important: Dali and Lijiang are at higher elevations, so avoid alcohol, strenuous exercise, and stay well-hydrated to prevent altitude sickness. Sunscreen, sunglasses, and hats are highly recommended due to strong UV rays and dry air.

When taking high-speed trains or transfers, keep your phone accessible and arrive at stations early to collect tickets. Your tour staff will assist with pickups, but maintaining contact is essential. In towns and scenic areas, it is advisable to carry hotel business cards to avoid getting lost.

Dress in layers: mornings and evenings can be cool, while daytime may be warm. Comfortable walking shoes are recommended for exploring old towns, flower gardens, and scenic areas with trails, bridges, or glass walkways. Some attractions, such as Dongba Secret Realm, include high-altitude paths and glass bridges—avoid them if you have vertigo or health concerns.

Respect local customs and traditions. In Bai and Naxi areas, people maintain unique cultural practices; be polite when photographing locals or attending performances. For meals, try regional specialties like Bai Eight Bowls and Naxi Chicken Hotpot, but be mindful of portion sizes and food allergies.

Keep personal belongings secure, especially in crowded old towns and popular photo spots. Carry water and light snacks during excursions, and supervise children closely. For photography enthusiasts, sunrise or early-morning visits offer the best lighting at scenic spots like Erhai Lake and Shuhe or Dali Ancient Town.

Lastly, always follow your guide’s instructions, check local weather before heading out, and allow flexibility in the schedule for unforeseen delays. A positive attitude, curiosity, and respect for local culture will make this 3-day journey through Dali and Lijiang unforgettable.
