Travel Routes

Cable Car Access
Ride the Gantong Cableway (感通索道) for a 20-minute ascent—round-trip ticket is ¥110 (children under 12 ride free). From the summit station, enjoy panoramic views of Erhai Lake (洱海) and the snow-capped peaks, then follow a 15-minute footpath down to the three pools.

Hiking Routes – Short Route
Begin at Gantong Temple (感通寺) or Jizhao Nunnery (继照庵), famed for its floral vegetarian meals. Trek along the Zhenlong Chessboard trail to reach the three pools in about 1 hour.
