How to Use WeChat While Traveling in China

Once you have your Chinese bank account set up, follow these steps on your WeChat app to set up the wallet feature and connect with your bank account.  

Steps for Setting Up Your WeChat Wallet to Pay With Your Phone in China

Step 1. Tap “Me” and Find the “Wechat Pay” 

Step 2. Tap “Wallet” 

Step 3. Tap “Card” 

Step 4. Tap “Add a card”

Step 5. Enter Your Payment Password

Step 6. Enter Your Bank Card Number (Chinese card or overseas card)

Step 7. Enter Your Name, Passport ID, Phone Number
