Nasha Town (那洒镇) is located in the southern part of Guangnan County (广南县), Wenshan Zhuang and Miao Autonomous Prefecture (文山壮族苗族自治州), Yunnan Province (云南省), approximately 65 kilometers from the county seat. It borders Zhujie Town (珠街镇) and Zhuanjiao Township (篆角乡) to the east, Xichou County (西畴县) Jijie Township (鸡街乡) to the south, Amen Town (阿猛镇) and Beng’e Township (蚌蛾乡) in Yanshan County (砚山县) to the west, and Wuzhu Township (五珠乡) and Jiumo Township (旧莫乡) to the north. The town covers an area of 488 square kilometers, with a high north and low south terrain, and belongs to a plateau-type subtropical monsoon climate.
Cultural History
Nasha Town (那洒镇) is one of the important towns in Guangnan County (广南县) and was once part of the ancient state of Jucheng (句町古国). In the 5th year of the Daoguang reign of the Qing Dynasty (道光五年, 1825), the area established the Bahao Camp (坝皓营). During the Republic of China period, it was known as the Fifth District (五区) and Huaide Township (怀德乡). In 1988, it was officially designated as Nasha Town (那洒镇). Nasha Town (那洒镇) is home to 8 different ethnic groups, including Han (汉), Zhuang (壮族), Miao (苗族), Yao (瑶族), and Yi (彝族), making its cultural heritage unique and profound.
