Day 1 Kunming-The Stone Forest-Kunming

Your guide & driver will pick you up at the hotel lobby in the morning, then depart for Stone Forest which is 86 km from Kunming City and requires 1.5-hours driving. An old local saying says that ‘If you have visited Kunming without seeing the Stone Forest, you have wasted your time.’ Truly, the Stone Forest is one of the most important attractions of Yunnan.
After lunch, visit a Yi minority village named Sibeihou Village (寺背后村), which is 12 km away from the Stone Forest. Then transfer back to your hotel at Kunming downtown. Service ends.
After the tour, be transferred to Kunming and visit the Flowers and Birds Market in the downtown. You will be free to walk around The Green Lake by your own in the late afternoon.

Day 1 Kunming-Shilin-Kunming

At 8:00 in the morning, our guide will pick you up in the hotel. Drive 86 KM to the Stone Forest. There is an old saying: it is a pity that not to visit the Stone Forest while you’re in Kunming. After lunch, drive back to Kunming and visit Yunnan Ethnic Villages. It is a theme park that displays the various folklore, culture, and architecture of 26 ethnic groups in Yunnan Province.
In the evening, you will have an option to enjoy the large-scale dance drama “Dynamic Yunnan Show” which has been an outstanding innovation on the Chinese stage in recent years directed by Yang Liping. Primitive, unsophisticated folk dances and a fresh artistic concept converge in the programme, giving audiences a unique “Yunnan Impression.” Sixty-two drums and 120 masks of strong ethnic characteristics are incorporated in the performance.

Day 1 Kunming-Dongchuan-Kunming
Sightseeing and Activities:Dongchuan Red Land, Music Hollow, Seven-Color Slope, Jinxiuyuan, Luoxiagou

At 8:30 am you will be picked up and drive to Dongchuan Red Land (3-3.5hrs ) which is a new rising tourist destination near Kunming, loved by photographers and backpackers, and praised as “God’s palette”. These red lands, extending for nearly 50 kilometers (30 miles), are the most striking and distinctive in the world.
Arrive at Dongchuang, make the tour of Music Hollow(Yuepuao) which is near ‘Flower Stone’ (Huashitou 花石头 /hwaa-shrr-toe/) village, known as “the best place for photography”.
Continue to visit Seven-Color Slope(Qicaipo) Near ‘Embroidery Garden’. ‘Seven-Color Slope’ gets its name from seven fields with seven different colors (when the right crops are planted and growing).
Later move to visit Jinxiuyuan that has a vast expanse of many rolling hills with red fields. A great location for shots of the colorful fields, a traditional village and some trees also offer a vivid countryside picture.
And enjoy the sunset of the beautiful red land of Luoxianggou Valley. Surrounded by mountains, Luoxiagou looks like a sunken depression from a distance. Traditional local villages adorn the colorful fields. A great place for photography blockbusters that you should not miss, a telephoto lens is recommended to shoot villages in the distance. Photographers should arrive at Luoxiagou around 4:30 pm. Late afternoon is the best time.
Drive back to Kunming in the evening.
