Arrive in Kunming and go to your hotel with the tour guide and driver.

After breakfast, you will take a 7 hours drive from Kunming to Pu'er. Visit Mojiang Tea Market on the way. Then keep on driving to Jinghong.

Drive from Jinghong to Menghai, pay a visit to Menghai Tea Factory. The factory is well known for its old raw Pu'er cakes and is highly reputed in the tea industry of China. Further transfer into the old Aini village near Nannuoshan, visit Aini people's market selling pu'er tea, local vegetables, fruits and hand-made crafts. Then 20 minutes driving to the Aini village where we start to walk up from the foot of the mountain. 2 hours walking on a jungle path to see the old Pu'er tea plantation in forest and a huge bush tea plantation. All the tea trees are between 300 and 800 years old. If you like the tea, you can also buy some from local people for the best price and have a nice Pu'er tea ceremony at home with locals. The whole experience lasts 4 to 5 hours.

After breakfast, we drive along a winding road through a tropical rain forest and stop for a while at a rubber tree orchard on the way to Yiwu. We then take a bumpy dirt road to see an 800 Years old tea tree and overlook a gorgeous lush valley. On the way back you will walk along the Tea Horse Trail which begins in Yiwu village and goes all the way to Tibet.

Our next stop is He Tianneng’s old tea workshop where we will drink tea and see the stone blocks used to press tea cakes.

Sightseeing and Activities: Cha Ma Shi factory, DaDuGang

Today you get the chance to make our own pu'er tea cakes at a small Cha Ma Shi factory in Youle.

From this small tea factory, you will travel DaDuGang, the owner of the largest tea plantation in Asia. Terraced fields of 30 years old tea plantation could be seen in all directions and the view was breathtaking.

Then drive to Pu'er City.

Visit China Puer Tea Exhibition Garden. Tea culture is an attractive tourist factor of the city. The exhibition garden is built on the Yingpan Mountain, 29 kilometers from the downtown area. Against the background of a vast tea garden, it is made up of Pu'er Tea Museum, Tea making workshop, tea-picking zone, tea appraisal garden and some other facilities which comprehensively show the history of Pu'er Tea, and of how to plant and produce as well.

Transfer to Jinggu after the exhibition garden

In the morning, drive to the local Cha Ma Chi factory where we can watch the pressing of tea cakes and bricks of all types. This factory uses tea leaves from organic 500 years old tea trees growing in the surrounded mountains.

Then drive to Mengku and move on to Bingdao village(冰岛), which is Lahu tribal village surrounded by green mountains and is the origin of the Bingdao Tea in China. You will see several huge ancient tea trees over 2000 years old. You will also have a chance to see this rare, unique village of the Lahu people. They wear colorful and traditional clothes.

Sightseeing and Activities: Lincang Tea Culture and Customs Garden, Lincang tea factory

In the morning, drive to Lincang and visit Lincang Tea Culture and Customs Garden and Lincang tea factories. Lying in the suburb of the Linxiang District, the 110 hectare scenic spot is one of the 25 most popular attractions of Yunnan Province. Here you will get to wander through this giant tea garden as well as learn deeper Chinese Yunnan tea culture.

Then you will visit the Lincang tea factory for learning Lincang’s Pu'er. What makes Lincang Pu'er different and unique to the other regions of Yunnan.

Sightseeing and Activities: Dazhai Township, Chafang Township

This morning, drive to visit ancient tea trees and tea plantation at Dazhai Township(大寨乡). Both Chafang Township and Dazhai Township are known as the lands of tea in Yunnan Province. Then drive to Chafang Township(茶房乡) in Yunxian County to visit ancient tea trees and tea plantation.

After that, drive to Fengqing in the late afternoon.

Today you can enjoy a tour of the Dianhong Tea Factory and tea plantation, where you can taste the black tea and learn about the drying process of the tea leaves and the production. Then drive to Nanjian and stop to visit Nanjian Tulin Tea Factory for few hours.

Afterwards, you'll  visit Weishan Old Town. Weishan old town was the cradle of Nanzhao kingdom, the history can be traced back to 7th century. It was an important town on the ancient tea and horse road. You will also enjoy the traditional Bai people's building design.

Sightseeing and Activities: Dali Ancient Town, The Three Pagodas Temple, Erhai Lake, Xizhou Old Town, Zhoucheng Village.

Drive to Dali and start a day tour of Dali including Dali Old Town, The Three Pagodas Temple, Erhai Lake, Xizhou Old Town and Zhoucheng Village.

After breakfast, we drive into the mountains towards a Buddhist temple where we will hike up to. We will spend some time exploring the grounds of the temple, wandering through a dense forest.

Next stop is the famous Xiaguantoucha tea company.  Xiaguantoucha produces 70,000 tons of Pu'er a year, with only 3000 of this being exported. The largest portion of these exported Pu'er cakes are sold to French pharmacies where they are used to reduce high blood pressure.

In the evening, walk along the bustling streets of Dali.
