Day 1 Arrive in Shangri-la (3,300m)

Arrive in Shangri-la. You guide will pick you up at the airport.
Day 2 Shangri-la (3,300m)
Sightseeing and Activities:trekking
Accommodation: Songtsam Hotel
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
Day hike to Abujee, which is A beautiful mountain known to very few people. The trek follows a crystal stream to this huge stone mountain. We pass by 2 Tibetan pastures on the way and hike up to the hill next to the mountain and lake on top of it.
Day 3 Shangri-la – Tacheng (1,900m)
Sightseeing and Activities:Tibetan and Naxi villages
Accommodation: Songtsam Hotel
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
Drive about 3 hours to Tacheng after breakfast. Leisure walk in the afternoon. Follow the paths link different Tibetan and Naxi villages through beautiful rice fields and vine yards. Climb up to a small hill for a bird view of the villages with charming black roof tops and surrounding area.
Day 4 Tacheng-Benzilan
Sightseeing and Activities:Yunnan Golden Monkey Nationsl park, Bazhu village
Accommodation: Songtsam Hotel
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
Visit Yunnan Golden Monkey National Park, take an easy hike of 1-2 hours to the south end of Baima Snow Mountains and part of the ancient Tea and Horse Road. Trek to Bazhu village if time allows, which will take about 4 hours.
Then drive to Benzilan.
Day 5 Benzilan (1,900m)

We will hike about 3 hours uphill (wide mountain road) to visit several pristine Tibetan villages and have a stunning view of Yangtze River valley. Then follow the mountain path to different villages and back after a picnic lunch. Visit local families.
Day 6 Benzilan – Songtsam Meili(3,600m)
Sightseeing and Activities:Dongzhulin Monastery
Accommodation: Meili Lodge
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
Drive to Songtsam Meili after breakfast, visit Dongzhulin Monastery on the way (balanced on a steep cliff, it’s a breath taking view). Arrive at Meili Lodge, relax or take an easy mountain walk for about 1-2 hours.
Day 7 Songtsam Meili (3,600m)
Sightseeing and Activities:hike
Accommodation: Meili Lodge
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
Day hike for about 8 hours with a 3 hours up hill. It could be difficult given the high altitude.
Day 8 Songtsam Meili – Shangri-la
Sightseeing and Activities:Songzanlin Monastery, monastery Kora
Accommodation: Songtsam Hotel
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
Morning free to enjoy the view of Meili. Drive back to Shangri-la and visit Songzanlin Monastery if time allows, walk the monastery Kora. Dinner party at a Traditional Tibetan family.
